The Trinks preformer is used to compact free flowing bulk molding material into a cylindrical shape or preform. Preforms can be efficiently heated, easily handled, and loaded into a transfer molding press.
Consistency and uniformity of size and weight are key to an optimum molding process. Our preformer achieves this to a very high degree.
A variety of die and punch sizes are available. This coupled with an adjustable die height, allows you to dial in the system to the size and volume best suited to your molding process.
Our preformers can use many types of materials including phenolic, epoxy, Teflon powder, friction material, and bulk molding compound.
